Our task is to match employees with available jobs. Actual employment is arranged between the individual and the employer.
Under the supervision of a dedicated Board of Directors, the staff of the Seniors Job Bank works with people 55 and older to explore employment opportunities based on each individuals experience, education, interest and needs. Programs are also developed to assist older workers in refreshing or acquiring new skills as well as providing services to our target population.
Employers are an important part of our operation as well. Working with businesses throughout Connecticut, employment opportunities (full time, part time, with and without benefits) are solicited and posted with the Seniors Job Bank. Employers appreciate the dedication and experience workers 55 and older bring to the workplace and use the Seniors Job Bank to tap into this valuable resource. This benefits our client/applicants because competition with younger workers is eliminated since employers are actively seeking an older worker through the Seniors Job Bank.
